Lately I was driving down the road and I heard a bible verse on the radio. it said "a wise man keeps his word, even when it hurts." For me, this can sometimes be no easy task. Sure, it's easy to keep your word when it's something simple like taking your kid brother to the park or taking out the trash, but what's really difficult is what the DJ said next. This verse also applies to shopping! Yes, shopping. Now, when I go out for, say, a new guitar, I like to shop around. However, I have been known to tell the sales person, "I'm gonna check around, but I'll probably be back to buy it." Now that I've said that, I've given my word. I told him I'll be back. Now, in the next town, I find the exact same guitar at another shop, but for $200 less. What do I do? This verse says that since I told the first place I'd be back, if I don't buy from the first place, that I'm not a wise man. But I could really use that extra $200. For me, I want to be a man of my word. I'll go back to the first place, and in turn, God will bless me that $200 in another way. This verse reminds us to keep our word even when it might be difficult. Just remember that by doing so, you're remaining in Gods' plan and you will be blessed for your obedience to the Father.

If you don't know the Father at all, or you realize there's some things you need to get right in your life, now's a perfect time. Don't wait because you never know when it's gonna be too late. All you have to do is pray these things:

- Thank Jesus for dying on the cross for you.
- Admit that you're a sinner and that you need to be saved by
  Jesus Christ.
- Confess your sins to God.
- Turn to God and away from sin.
- Ask Jesus to come into your life and save you by His grace.
- Let Jesus guide you throughout your life.
